there is no ‘best’ house, or ‘best’ cup, but there is a house that fits where it lives and the people who live in it. there is a mug for coffee on the back porch with your dog. a cup for whiskey the night before you get married. ‘best’ can never be a singular thing, it changes with time and place, atmosphere, and mood. when we make pottery and design houses, we’re imagining both the specific and the potential, and making the very best work we can.
